Answers about how Reruns works, your content, billing, and more.

Getting Started

After you finish streaming, Reruns grabs the VOD, transcribes it, and finds the best moments and story arcs. It cuts those into finished videos with titles, descriptions, tags, and chapters. Each video gets reviewed for quality, then uploads to your YouTube as unlisted. You decide what goes public.

Once you authorize YouTube and stream, you should see unlisted videos on your channel within a day or two. A typical 8-12 hour VOD takes a few hours to process. Pro and Enterprise get priority in the queue.

YouTube is fully supported (long-form videos and Shorts). Multi-platform distribution to TikTok, Instagram Reels, X/Twitter, and Reddit is available on Pro and Enterprise plans. The pipeline generates platform-optimized metadata for each — different titles, hashtags, and descriptions per platform.

Your Content

Yes. Everything we make from your VODs is yours. We don't claim any rights to it. If you cancel, everything stays on your channel.

Yes. Every video uploads as unlisted. Nothing goes public until you change it. Open YouTube Studio, review what we made, publish what you like, delete what you don't.

Open YouTube Studio, go to Content, find the unlisted video, click the pencil icon to edit, change Visibility from "Unlisted" to "Public", and save. That is all it takes. You can also schedule them for future dates.

Delete it from YouTube Studio, or click Reject on your dashboard. It's your channel and your content. You can also tell us what you didn't like — we use that feedback to improve what we produce for you going forward.

Yes. The pipeline has a dedicated FPS content type that finds clutch rounds, ace sequences, comeback arcs, rage moments, and rivalry highlights. It uses chat spikes and audio intensity to identify peak moments — not just kills, but the reactions and context around them.

Podcasts & Teaching Content

Yes. The pipeline detects podcast and interview content automatically. It finds topic transitions, guest insights, debate moments, and story segments — then cuts clean clips with captions. A typical 2-hour episode produces 10-15 clips.

Multi-speaker content is transcribed with speaker detection. Clips preserve the full conversational context — setup, exchange, and resolution. Guest names from your config are used in titles and tags automatically.

Yes. Teaching content gets its own editing style: scripture references are auto-tagged, the teaching arc (introduction, exposition, application) is preserved intact, and titles are dignified — no clickbait on sacred content. Works for sermons, Bible studies, lectures, devotionals, and talks of any faith tradition.

Same way as streams — paste your YouTube channel URL where you publish full episodes. The system detects new uploads automatically. If your content is on a different platform, reach out and we'll set up a custom ingest.

Raw Stream Capture

Twitch automatically mutes VOD sections that contain copyrighted music. Raw stream capture records your stream in real-time before Twitch processes it, giving us the unmuted original. When our pipeline runs, it uses the raw recording instead of the muted VOD — perfect audio every time.

No. This uses a secondary output from your streaming software. Your Twitch stream is completely independent. If our server goes down, your Twitch stream continues normally. Zero risk.

OBS Studio (recommended): Install the obs-multi-rtmp plugin (free, from GitHub). Open OBS, go to Docks → Multiple Output. Add Reruns as a target with your RTMP server URL and stream key. Click Start.

OBS Advanced: Settings → Output → Advanced mode → Recording tab → Custom Output (FFmpeg). Set the URL to your RTMP server + stream key. Container: flv. Click Start Recording.

Streamlabs Desktop: Streamlabs doesn't support secondary outputs natively. We recommend switching to OBS Studio (free), or using a local RTMP relay.

StreamYard / Riverside / Restream: Browser-based tools can't send a secondary output directly. If your tool supports Custom RTMP destination, enter your Reruns server URL and key. Otherwise, contact support for help.

Setup takes about 5 minutes. Your stream key and server URL are provided when you enable stream ingest on your account. Full setup guide →

Yes. Our creator API lets you list, download, and delete your raw recordings at any time. You can also request full data deletion (GDPR right to deletion) which purges all recordings, transcripts, and generated content.

Quality & Safety

Our AI analyzes each VOD for narrative arcs, audience reactions (chat activity spikes, emote bursts), entertainment value, and dramatic moments. It identifies complete stories with clear beginnings, middles, and ends -- not just random clip compilations. The goal is content that stands on its own and makes sense to viewers who were not watching live.

Every video gets scored by 7 independent AI reviewers looking at different things: narrative quality, entertainment value, audio clarity, pacing & flow, title accuracy, thumbnail potential, and brand alignment. If a video doesn't hit the bar, it gets cut and never uploads. Your channel only sees the stuff that passed.

Yes. There are 11 content types (Full Stories, Highlights, Shorts, Podcast Clips, Character Arcs, Chat Reacts, Teaching Clips, Lecture Clips, Tutorial Clips, Talk Show / Panel, and Debate / Commentary), each with different pacing, effects, and music. You can tweak any of them, or we can build new ones. Tell us what you want -- cold opens on or off, caption style, chat overlay, music mood -- and we'll set it up. We also adjust over time based on what performs well on your channel.

Yes. Pro and Enterprise subscribers can submit 3-5 YouTube URLs of videos they love — from any channel — and we'll analyze the editing style (pacing, cut frequency, music, effects) and build a custom profile that matches. Reply to your welcome email with the URLs, or use the API endpoint: POST /api/train-profile/YOUR_SLUG with a JSON body containing your URLs. Your custom profiles will be applied to all future content.

We run genre-calibrated safety scanning on every video. This means our system understands the difference between content that is normal for your genre (e.g., in-game violence in an FPS stream) and content that would actually be problematic. We do not flag your content for things that are standard in your community.

Everything uploads as unlisted, so nothing goes public without you. Every video also runs through safety scanning before upload. If something still gets through that shouldn't have, delete it from YouTube Studio and tell us -- we'll tighten the filters.

Clip Library

We ingest your entire existing library automatically. Every clip gets analyzed for title quality, tag optimization, and description improvements. We never modify or delete your existing content — the library is additive only. You see optimization suggestions in your dashboard and choose what to apply.

Your clip library appears in the dashboard under "Existing Clips." Each clip shows its current title, tags, view count, and an optimization score (0-10). Clips that could benefit from better titles or tags are flagged with specific suggestions you can apply with one click.

Never. We analyze and suggest improvements, but nothing changes on YouTube until you explicitly approve it. Your content, your call.

Your Account

We will send you a reminder within 24 hours. If you still have not connected after a day, you will get an email and a Discord notification with a direct link to complete the authorization. Nothing will be lost -- your content queue builds up and starts uploading as soon as you connect.

Yes. You can invite managers, editors, and viewers to your account. Managers can view your pipeline status and access the billing portal. Editors can view status and download raw assets. Viewers can see status only. To add team members, reply to your welcome email with their email addresses and roles, and we will set them up. Self-service team management is available in the dashboard.

Technical

It allows us to upload videos directly to your channel. We use standard Google OAuth -- the same system every YouTube app uses. We request upload and metadata management permissions. You can revoke access at any time in your Google account settings (Security > Third-party apps).

Yes. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted on disk. Environment variables with secrets are never committed to version control. The API server runs behind a Cloudflare tunnel with HTTPS. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Content already on YouTube stays up and is unaffected. Processing resumes automatically when the system recovers. We run health checks every 15 minutes and have automated alerting. You can check our current system status at reruns.tv/status.
